Grace Hazeldine
Grace is a twenty five year resident of the Cupsaw Lake area of Ringwood. With a BA from William Paterson University she has had a twenty-nine year career in publishing, which included: Executive managing editor audio/visual assets in the Higher Education division at Prentice Hall (8 yrs), Project Manager at Simon & Schuster in NYC, and Production Manager at Beverage Media Group in NYC in trade magazine production (13 yrs).
Grace has been a member of the Ringwood Board of Adjustment since 2004, and as a member is proud to have been a vocal opponent of a proposed new gas station across the street from Wanaque Reservoir on Ringwood Ave, in order to protect our water supply from possible contamination from gas tanks. As a result of her opposition, the application was withdrawn. Also, when a fraudulent application for $1.025 million was submitted by our Borough Council to the Passaic County Open Space Commission, Grace appeared at the County hearing and exposed this, saving $200k in State funds, $750,000 in County funds, and $50,000 in Ringwood Borough funds.
Grace volunteers for the Ringwood Friends of Music, is a member of the League of Women Voters of the Northern Highlands and participates in Caring for Ringwood Day.
Her husband, Dr. Thomas (Ted) Williamson, has been a professor of mathematics at Montclair State University for 38 years, and is Chair of the Passaic County Planning Board.
Grace is seeking a seat on the Borough Council for the first time in the hopes of increasing the efficiency of how Ringwood taxpayer dollars are spent.
