- Marsala, Anderson, & Schaefer take credit for eliminating council health benefits.
-
WRONG! Democrats learned that health insurance was purchased for Council members since the late 1980's with no resolution, no ordinance, and no legal authority. The Republican administration gave themselves a secret perk at taxpayer expense. Democrats moved to cancel the inappropriate policy. Marsala called the rollback wrong and voted NO!
- Marsala, Anderson, & Schaefer say they’ve cut personnel costs.
-
WRONG! They created a new Deputy Manager position for the Republican party boss, then with few qualifications they made him head of DPW with no job search, costing us $130,000 a year!
- Marsala, Anderson, & Schaefer say they’ve saved money on legal bills.
-
WRONG! Ringwood is being sued by the law firm Scarinci and Hollenbeck for $235,000 for nonpayment of legal bills, bills the Republican’s said would be paid for by the insurance companies. Anyone can save money if they don’t pay their bills!
- Marsala, Anderson, & Schaefer say they’re good at using grant money.
-
WRONG! Ringwood was awarded a $400,000 Neighborhood Preservation Grant from the state over 8 months ago, and the council risks losing the money because they still haven’t submitted a plan on how they’ll spend it.
- Marsala, Anderson, & Schaefer say that council meetings ran too long under
Democrats.
WRONG! Under the Democrats, council business was conducted in the open and issues were discussed until they were resolved. Democrats didn’t mind working late. Under the current all-Republican council, meetings are short but merely a rubber stamp of back room decisions with the public shut out of discussions.
- Marsala claims to have been on the committee to ban 10 ton trucks on Skyline
Drive.
WRONG! The New York Times reported that the State adopted this policy 7 months before he was even elected to office!
IT’S THE THINGS THEY GOT WRONG THAT WE DON’T KNOW ABOUT THAT
ARE REALLY SCARY!!!!
